Jeez, this is the first entry of the year 2013 for me! So alrighty let's begin with the useless info NOW.

So I told you guys in my previous journal that I was going to have an ugly christmas sweater party and so we did! AND IT WAS REALLY FUN!! I highly recommend doing this with your friends if you get a chance!

We basically got a name and that was the person we had to buy/make a sweater for! ha ha ha


....many shenanigans were had.

After New Years, I also went to Venezuela with a bunch friends and my boyfriend. :) It was beautiful~

I was very happy to travel again!! And getting a little taste of a more independent vacation made me want to do more! I'm planning to go on a exchange (Woof'ing) to go work on a farm or hostel in other country. Me and Jordan are thinking Spain Then possibly renting a house in Peru to go hike to Machu Picchu......I think that will be breath taking to see. I'm very excited for the future :)  All this will probably be happening next year, and the year after that. _{(psssss~ If I have any lovely watchers from other countries (aka not Canada or USA) please feel free to let me know what I should visit! Or if you know cheap places to stay! n_n)}

Later on, I also went to go see Imagine Dragons with Mel (she introduced me to this band) and 2 other friends.

WOW. THEY ARE SO AMAZING LIVE!!! If ever you have a chance to go see them please do!! I came out of there simply blown away by their performance!! They really know how to create a lively crowd with the energy they have on stage! Ooooh~ All the good vibes Definitely felt on top of the world!

I've also been slowly working on another cosplay! Ugh...it's so hard to balance out working on my art, work and socializing (this is so I don't go all artsy crazy ʘ‿ʘ and start talking to my cat......._wait ).

So ANYWAYS, things are going rather well! Recently got into contact with an old friend I've known for 10+ years.......we haven't spoke in 3 years....so talking to her again felt so good. :') It's like finding a lost family member. I think of all the times we had together and my heart swelled up. I'm happy that I'll be able to actually see her at the end of the month! Oooh~ Fun!

Aside from saving up for travel plans, I'm trying to focus on my art a little more now. Ever since I graduated from my 2 year art program, I've been drawing less. )": It makes me sad.......I'm going to ask for less shifts at work. Less money but more happiness. LOL

Have I told you all about Harvest Fest!? One of the best weekends of my summer…ugh, well end of summer!! Just stunning I'm so happy I went!! SO MUCH LOVE ALL AROUND. Just thinking about it is making me smile again. :D




We slept in tents, blew bubbles, made fires and danced until 5AM Truly a wonderful experience that I'll never forget!!

Well I've had so many changes happen within the pas year..again. haha Everything's always changing and I suppose I got use to accepting them with open arms and this is what really keeps me happy and excited for the future and about the present as well. My happiness lies within me and wherever I decide to make a home. I realized that I'm actually a very family-oriented person…and my family includes the company I keep. I consider them all my family and it's where I am most happy. I've traveled quite a bit and I plan on much more, but I know I want to always come back to my loved ones :")  or bring them with me lmfao!

And this goes for you too, dear readers and supporters. My DA family that has pushed me to keep improving and drawing with all your wonderful and heart felt comments! :) It's what motivates me the most<3

I later went to ColossalCon in June, and let me just say OMG. Everyone should go to this con at least once! Just for the resort!! ha ha ha The con itself was quite small, but the hotel was magnificent! Indoor/Outdoor watermarks, petting zoo and rooms that can fit like 15 people . AMAZING! I had such a good time, it felt like a mini vacation :D Next year, I'm definitely going to stay an extra day to enjoy the water slides a bit more!

Well not exactly, but they do make you super woozy when you do wake up. I don't know how I didn't get arrested at the border because I looked so drugged. ha ha ha LET ME IN TO YOUR COUNTRY AHUR.

.....but they did all laugh at my swords. WTF MAN. ha ha Actually the WHOLE line from the bus LAUGHED when I told them they were swords. Apparently they were wondering what was in the bags from the moment I brought them. ha ha ha fml.

After we went to dinner at Nando's with Droo and his friends, since they were all leaving Monday as well!

the most important part of this trip was this GOD DAMN DRINK MACHINE.
AMERICA, YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT. THIS IS GLORIOUS!! All of us Canadians were freaking out over it ha ha ha ha taking photos with it and shit.  HAHAHA THEY LOVED US THERE.  We even filled this out for them. (They needed to know).
This machine...has like 120 flavours of soda. ....but like CRAZY flavours such as ORANGE FUCKING COKE. what. just WHAT. It was surprisingly delicious asjdioajs

Ok ok, enough of this machine, though I could go on for hours ROFL After a fun 5 days in Washington it was time to go home. :( We were all sad it was over...since we honestly had so much at this con.

Apparently on our bus ride back we almost all died. HA HA HA HA A tired flew off another car and BARELY missed hitting our bus...Mel was the only one who saw this. lmfao ...so that probably never happened /smacked. I thought she was having a heart attack LMFAO

Oh man, there was one boy completely obsessed with hockey ha ha That's ALLL he would talk to me about. And I would just nod and say 'cool..oh..ya, sure you can draw a goalie..cool..ok cool'  ha ha ha And then I had two girls who just adored me. Well it certainly was interesting working with kids. They're so......innocent. haha I don't know how to explain it. But as I watched my class it's funny to see how simple things make them laugh and how polite they are to their fellow classmates. "your drawing looks amazing" "thank you! so does yours!" they said this while smiling the entire time ......I was taken back by how kind that was. Dx
So yup, I'll be back teaching later on...that job always gave me a nice satisfaction when I left TOUCHING LIVES :) And I'm enjoying my new job at a restaurant a lot. ...well mostly I like my co-workers. They're all so cool ♥

Soo! About a month ago, I got the good news that I got the position to be an art instructor for a cartooning program!! I was just ecstatic when  they told me! I mean...really...can you picture me as a teacher? OH LAWD HA HA WELL IT's HAPPENING. Time to corrupt children.

_{This experience is very new to me, but it's also pretty..meaningful. I felt so...good after, y'know? The same feeling when someone says 'you inspire me'. guhhh /so touched.

In terms of art...a lot of lovely things have happened for me. I got offered to have my stuff showcased in an art exhibit downtown Toronto. /cries. BUT it's the same day as Youmacon. fffffffff---- so I have to wait for the second exhibit instead. I'm still so happy :") Maybe if any of you are in the Toronto area, you can come see it? And we can sip wine and eat delicious cheese and discuss about art? ROFL JOKES.  I'm going to be horribly out of place. I-I just want to spread the message of being happy/peaceful through art.  Sometimes, I feel as though I have a story/message to tell. *lame*

ok ok just want to show these lenses. They're the 'animation' lenses! I decided to try them out with this cosplay! They are really intense Personally I love them, they will show up on very dark eyes without a problem because they're so opaque! And they actually have those white 'bubble' things because they're suppose to imitate anime eyes. [there's no eye colour enhancement in those above images above!]  Though I think they might be too bright for certain characters, I wouldn't wear them for France for example, simply because they're too intense. It's quite perfect for Hijikata's character though :)

I was suppose to go to Columbia on Dec 21-29th, because my dad is getting re-married and the wedding is there! So he bought me a ticket and all that jazz, but my family back here is very iffy about me going by myself since my dad won't be able to stay with me the entire week which is completely understandable. Anyways, long story short, my dad had to cancel the ticket anndddd pretty much got a credit for it which is only usable for my name only. SO. THIS MEANS. I get to choose ANY DESTINATION and go!! I have to use this before August of next year...and ya, KINDA FUCKING EXCITED RIGHT NOW!! hahaha Where should I go? I want somewhere really different! Since I get to travel to Europe frequently and the Caribbeans, ...maybe Scandinavia..Denmark, Sweden? or even Asia... China, Japan?? :D Or even Egypt fffff--<333  yay. I love love my new semester! :) It's basically all digital! hurray! Painter is AMAZING. I wish my computer had enough space to download it! We basically watch youtube clips for half the class. We watched old school Godzilla vs King Kong movies. (the one with no sound and stuff...it was absolutly HILARIOUS).For the first half though, my brain melts listening to the teacher...so I bring a book to read by myself or draw some crack. lmao god I wouldn't be in this class if I payed my fees on time...all the good classes were filled. :< GAWD. THIS IS EVERYONE ELSE'S FAULT BUT MINE. *CRAIS*

I hope our colleges don't go on strike next week, it looks like it's going to happen ): I would really miss it because I love my school. I owe so much to it for shaping me into an 'artist'. I still have so much to learn! The fact that I can continue drawing to not necessarily become professional but to gain more artistic knowledge to incorporate into my own style and technique, makes me very happy! I have a long way ahead of me~!!
